Our Story

In 2022, we opened the doors to Northside Dog Retreat with one clear mission — to make cage-free, safe, and high-quality dog care accessible & affordable for every pet parent.

We knew we had to create something different — a place where dogs could play freely, rest comfortably, and feel loved like home, without the stress of add-on fees or hidden costs. That's why we designed our one flat-rate system, where everything your pup needs & loves is included while you're away on vacation.

Just 15 minutes from the heart of Milton and 35 minutes from Toronto Pearson Airport, our retreat offers a spacious, peaceful environment for dogs to relax and have fun — far from the city's noise and rush. Northside was established on an immaculate 47-acre property, providing plenty of open space.

Here, every dog enjoys cage-free living and plenty of time to frolic outdoors. We welcome pups of all shapes, sizes, and ages. When opening Northside Dog Retreat, we realized that while many pet care providers offer outdoor time, few provide the space and freedom most dogs truly desire. At Northside, we're proud to offer Halton's largest outdoor gated play areas for overnight dog boarding. With spaces ranging from cozy 80' x 80' yards to expansive 500' x 500' play areas, every pup has room to explore, run, and play at their own pace. Whether your dog loves to run, chase friends, or simply relax in the fresh air, our outdoor spaces provide the perfect setting to have fun, socialize, and unwind — complete with shaded cabanas and a supervised environment designed for their joy and comfort. Our team never leaves your pup's side.

These rooms are equipped with heated flooring, creating a cozy and inviting environment that ensures your dog stays warm & comfortable, regardless of the weather outside. We believe in providing more than just a place to stay—we offer a warm, personalized sanctuary for each of our furry friends.

Additionally, we have implemented a state-of-the-art air filtration system, alongside our heated flooring, to ensure that your pet's health and well-being remain our top priority throughout their stay.
